Formax's brand new laboratory is equipped with
the state-of-the-art equipment for testing dry fabrics and laminates,
with a focus on two attributes:
INFUSIBILITY
FORMAX has the capability to test fabric infusion rates with a variety of resin systems, allowing us to develop and test fabrics and to understand what the key influences are in determining the rate at which a fabric will infuse in a particular application. FORMAX can offer advice on how permeability is influenced by sizing, resin type, laminate lay-up and the processing environment.
MECHANICAL PERFORMANCE
FORMAX has the ability to manufacture laminates with a variety of resin systems and processes, and to test these laminates for a full range of mechanical properties, including the modulus and strength in tension, compression, flexure and inter-laminar shear.
